I'm looking for namely get out of the hole faster and higher top speed if possible. thanks

Pick one... because you can't have both.

Anyway... out of the hole... Scat Track swirl series. Top speed... Solas Concord series.

BUT... if you have cavatation... there may be other issues, and a impeller may not fix it. Either way... an aftermarket impeller will make your ski perform better than the stocker.

thanks for the help. another question: what are the symptoms of a worn wear ring.

If it's not totally gone... Cavatation out of the hole, or with a heavy load, and excessive RPM's at top speed. Normally there isn't a significant loss in speed... but you will carry a few hundred RPM's extra.

If it's really messed up... you may not go anywhere when you hit the throttle.

Take the steering nozzle off of the pump. There are 4 bolts holding it on. From there you will just look inside. The plastic ring in the pump should be smooth and have no more than 0.040" clearance between it, and the impeller. If the clearance is high... change the ring when you put in your new impeller. Also... if the ring is gouged, or looks like it has a melted surface... it will need to be replaced.
