I have a 04 GTX with Darton MID sleeved motor built some time ago by Ski MD in Auckland, New Zealand. Rated at over 300hp easily.
Today while I was sitting on my ski in the water a mate splashed water from his ski onto mine when taking off, soaking me and the ski. Thought nothing of it. Took it for a ride within 1 minute however engine wasn't revving properly and was cutting out around 4000rpm ish. I didn't push it hard at all because it was cutting out and running all strange, until it fully died in the water.
I tried starting it over and over and eventually it would start however would only run roughly for about 10 seconds then cut out.
Exclamation mark light on the dash flashes while this is happening.
I am dropping it off to the workshop on Monday however I want to take it out tomorrow if it's an easy fix.
I already took the spark plugs out and checked them, number 1 was a little wet. Number 2 and 3 were fine.
