04 4-tec supercharged. Runs fine for 5 minutes then goes into a sort of limp mode. only excepts very little throttle, Shut it off for 5 minutes and then it runs fine again for another 5 minutes then goes back into a limp mode. Just shutting it down and restarting doesn't do it, it has to sit for a few minutes. Any thoughts

Are any error codes displayed on the information center. Press "set" 5 times to retrieve any codes stored in the ECU.

Information center does not work. I'm trying to find a used one, I disconnected both temperature senses hoping that's what it was, I know it is not running hot. Made no difference. I was told that is the only thing that puts it into limp mode. Going to check fuel pressure next,

How do you know it's not running hot? Your information center probably has water in it. Been there, done that.

Be careful about what people tell you without a technical reference. What you were told about limp-home mode is incorrect.

See the manual section 7. CTS = Coolant temp sensor, EGT= Exhaust gas temperature, OPS = oil pressure sensor, OSPS = Oil separator pressure sensor, and TOPS = Tip-over protection sensor.

I use a temperature gun to see if it was overheating. I appreciate all the information right now I have a fuel pressure gauge on it going to run it in a little while. Thank you

If I were you, I'd get that information center issue fixed first. All your warnings come through that component. You really need to find out what faults are stored in ECU memory.

Even if you find your fuel pressure is correct and fix the limp-home mode issue, are you planning on running the ski without an functioning information center? I don't recommend that.

Oh! If your running the ski out of the water, don't burn up your carbon seal. They heat up very quickly when out of the water.

I agree, I'm looking for an information center, when I find one does it have to be flashed to that ski? Or does it just plug in?

For your ski ('04), just plug & play.
You've been a tremendous help, I appreciate it. Just started the ski presure held steady as soon as I shut it off it dropped to 0 in less than 15 seconds, is that normal? I only ran it less than a minute because it's out of the water. Also any idea what the correct PSI would be for that ski?

I definitely have a pressure drop, checked the plugs they seem fine. When I noticed the pressure drop I was thinking a check valve, seems like it's an internal pressure regulator. I am driving, will look into it when I get home not sure if I can just change the regulator or I need a complete pump. Thank you for all your help
