hey guys,

so the gas gauge always reads empty even though i have fuel in it. was thinking the float just doesnt float anymore, so i removed the pump assembly and with it out, i plugged it back into the harness and just put the float up and put the key in to power it on. gauge still read empty. is there a fuse for the float and if not, is there a way to fix it, or do i have to get a new assembly? i read on something that there are magnets, but i have no idea where they could be at. any help would be greatly appreciated! everything runs fantastic other than the gauge reading empty.

With yours being a DI ski it doesn't use the standard float and F1 fuse that you will hear about.
You need to see if the float side is bad or the gauge. On the float side you should see a change in resistance as the float arm is moved using a multi-meter.

Now would also be a good time to replace the fuel filter because I think the DI has an in-tank filter too.

i have the same ski. 1st start by taking the seat off and getting to the fuel tank under the seat. you can unplug the wires to the pump and jump them together. this way you can make the gauge read full. if it reads full then its the float/arm is bad. its about $85 fix

ive already replaced all the filters and pump with a HFP kit, so we are good there.

if the float is bad, where would i get that $85 fix?

If you don't mind, hook me up with the place to buy the HFP Kit in case I need to go that route. I've read some aftermarket pumps draw too much current for the system. :) Appreciate it bro. Good Luck with your ski sounds like you are in most excellent hands. :)

on the RX?

The DI, whichever ski that was. I have a source for the RFI but not for the DI. Thanks !!

Is the arm inside the fuel tank??
No, i took it off. You see the metal thing that is under the white plastic clip that holds the arm? There are supposed to be 2 of them. There is just one. When i cleaned out the tank, i remember seeing that in there. Thought nothing of it and put the pump back in after cleaning it.

Fyi, the sensor, you can buy anywhere, really. It is seadoo part number 270600051. Ill be ordering it tomorrow.

Thanks man.... much appreciated. Dynamite site !!! I had the most difficult time finding a fuel pressure regulator for my RFI. Whooo Hoooo !!!!
