I built a new motor, new crank, rods, pistons, cyclinders, head and had the carb rebuilt. When I put the motor back in, now I can't get any fuel to the carb. The line are all brand new along with the fuel sending unit. It's not sucking any fuel to the carb. When you pour fuel in the carb it fires right up and runs and then dies when its runs out of gas. I tried hooking up direct to the fuel tank and by-passing the fuel switch and still the same thing, it won't pull the fuel in. I even tried a different carb and that did the same thing. Any Ideals would be great. Rich

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Try checking for air leaks, the first place I would check is the O ring for the water seperator fuel filter. Mine is located right above the gas tank. You could check the fuel selector valve, and make sure all the fuel clamps are tight.

Sure the fuel and pulse lines are on the right fittings on the fuel pump?Take the pulse line loose from the fuel pump and hold you finger over the end, it should alternate between sucking and blowing. Could be neddle valve stuck closed in carb strainer cloged in fuel pump,

Should there be vaccum on the hose from the motor?

Thanks for the info, I found a little hole in the pulse line. Now I have another problem, It just fires up and dies. I rebuilt the carb and get the same thing. If the rotary valve is off alittle would that cause this. Everything is brand new so I don't know what might cause this now.
