HI , I've just taken the gas strut off my front compartment as it has rusted so much it won't move.

I was told it has to be genuine sea doo part, However it appears to be a normal strut to me.

Does any one have the specs on them as I can't even move mine to measure it.

Cheers

Sea doo gas strut

Hi Adam,
Had the same problem and went to struts r us in Nerang. Bought a stailess steel one for just over $100.00 and never need to worry about it again!

Called them today actually , Probably go there tomorrow , $137 for a stainless steel one , seems a bit pricey.

With the bottom mounting point , at the bottom of the strut did yours break off as mine did and I don't know how to re secure it.

Cheers
Adam

When you consider that the original is about $80 and it only lasts a year or two, I found it much more economical to get a stainless steel one that may only need a re-gas every few years.
Take you ski to Struts r us and I'm sure they can advise you as to how to repair the mounts.

Picked up a stainless steel one for just over $80 , Thats less then what seadoo wanted for a standard, The guy was very help full , even cleaned up the old brackets , Having trouble fitting it so gunna go see Jeff at jetski warehouse (our mechanic) and get him to fit it.

Maybe see ya on the water:cheers:
