02 4tec ignition problem

I'm new to the forum. I have a 02 gtx 4tec . With key on post I get 2 beeps. I found the test process for post on forum and tested post. It seems fine. I did find a damaged and corroded wire just past the plug. I repaired wire. I have a check engine message on display. I tested my starter solenoid, it tested fine. I jumped voltage to starter, it seems fine. I have a code of p.1656 . I'm guessing from the damage to the wire, but I repaired. I need help

Any successful repair will move a code from active to 'stored' Go through the wiring diagram and make sure there is continuity from each wire on post to where it mates to the computer ("DESS module").. If that checks out, probably a bad post.
