Hi, 02 4-tec gtx, non supercharged. I have a shop and repair lots and lots of sea-doo's per year, along with 100's and 100's of sleds every year. So I"m not green to working on these things. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Problem is engine won't turn over properly. Here's the story on this thing. It has been in and out of a couple dealerships with the same problem every time. Won't turn over or not turning fast enough to start. What happens is when you try to start engine it just barely turns and than stops. I did the normal things first, new battery, than another new battery, no diff. Than replaced starter, than cooked new starter trying to start it, now another new starter. Will turn over with charger on battery and all plugs out with comp gauge in 1 cylinder, put in 2 plugs and forget it. Compression is 150lbs. Removed valve cover and checked cam timing and it's bang on. Removed pump and shaft, no diff. Removed end cover from engine and can turn engine be hand back and forth, seems free. Found 2 broken teeth on starter bendix, and chewed up flywheel. Replaced with new bendix and flywheel. Put it all back together and it started right up, perfect, topped up the oil and antifreeze outside on the hose, started perfectly, nice and quite and smooth. Start and stopped about 10 times, perfect. Went to put it in the water started before launching, no start, same friggin thing again, like 30min after working perfect. Turns over with no plugs in it, put in 1 plug no turn. Trys to turn and acts exactly like a 2 stroke full of water. Hasn't seen water in 2 years. Long question but driving me nuts. Thing I can't understand is why it worked perfectly after going back together for 1 starts than same problem again. What could have changed in 30min of sitting, I topped up the oil and coolant, that's it. It's not like a cylinder is filling with coolant because when all 3 plugs are out it will spin over and not blow coolant all over, same with fuel. Only thing I could think was oil pressure somehow. Was drained of all oil while part, once run for 20 seconds or so oil pressure is up and causing oil pump to turn hard. I don't believe this could have any thing to do with it but if it was simple I'd be riding it. Any help, please?
