Hey everybody how is it going?
Im new here and I hope I put my thread in the right place. Well you guys can basically see the timeline in my profile and my issue is the water leak. Every time i rod my seadoo I would check if it had taken some water inside the hull and would always turn out to be clean. But this last ride my hull was 3/4 full with water, which really scared me for a moment. I couldn't see any major leaks aroung the body or inside, so as a very new owner and very new to deal with jetskis at all, I'm clueless. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

I'm guessing you have a carbon seal issue. Put the drain plugs in, leave it strapped to the trailer, remove the seat, back it down the ramp and start it up. Look for where the water is coming from.

Have you noticed a decrease in performance, cavitation?

Where is this carbon piece? Could I do it myself? No, performance hasn't change a bit. I could still rev up to 6500-6600 max (don't know if this is the best it can do...) but it looks still fast to me, with two people and the water weight. Thanks for your reply.

yes, look at the link to the thread Coastiejoe provided. Also, I would inspect all of your water hoses, such as the few that are on your tuned pipe (what people would refer to as an exhaust pipe), I'd check your in and out black hoses that go to the head (top of engine)...check them for pinhole leaks/tares, as well as the hose clamps or zipties at the end of each connection.

As a last resort, I'm not sure how skilled and comfortable you are riding, but when I was at my wit's end with a leak, I unlatched the back of the seat, and while I was going a little faster than idle, I slid the seat back far enough to where I was able to look down into the hull and see EXACTLY where the leak is coming from.

DISCLAIMER: This is just MY way of handling it, and its NOT my fault if you slide the seat back TOO FAR and wind up losing it! lol

Also, I'm unfamiliar with your ski and setup, but I also took the PTO cover off to get a clear view of the driveshaft/carbon seal setup. (This is the cover on the back of the motor that covers the driveshaft and usually has two plastic wingnuts holding it on, at least my ski does)
Let us know what you find out..also, we LOVE pics here..

check

shaft carbon seal

all cooling lines on exhaust

broken engine mounts ,....misalignment of engine underload

vts bellows

missing or broken half rings/grommets and jamnut(plastic ) on reverse cable and steering cable next to jet unit at rear

Ok, so here is a short video of the jetski. I tried to get as close as I could with my phone. I hope you guys can see anything...
Please let me know, if you you think I should look at something else where I can use my phone again and then upload it here for you again. Thanks a ton for your help guys.

Also, once I get off work I will try to get to the lake today and do the tests that you have suggested me to do...

One more thing! I started the jetski and hooked the hose and I noticed that on the right hand side the water wouldn't shoot out like it does on the left hand side, outside the body of the jetski. Might this be an indication that the water the jetski is trying to get rid off, is sitting inside the hull instead...?

The guys who sold it to me said that the pump needed new shaft and that's it. But when i brought it to the dealer for check up, the whole pump needed to be replaced because of the lack of the previous owner to maintain it.

so did he take less money for it once the mechanic said the whole pump needed to be replaced? just curious

ok , check all on the upper list first ,

that will deal with outside water coming in where it shouldn't

1 question ....how fast is it filling it up
2 question ....is there any engine overheating ?

the next list will deal with a internal water leak

with engine off , all tests

1)seat off , put you hand under the exhaust pipe at the front of the engine (mag end) on a centre line with your seat , there is a 3/4 inch rubber hose attached to the underside ..hopefully

2)now with the shaft cover off (as per video )PTO end ) at the base of the hull you should see a 1/4 inch yellow clear hose with a plastic connecter ,half way along the shaft length .....is it connected to anything ..this is your engine drain quick connector ,should be connected to a hose to the rear ....may be black hose , but I couldn't see it in the vid

3)on you starboard side of the cylinder head is the cooling water inlet, put your hand between the hull and the head and you will feel it ,follow that back to the side towards the rear hull to thermostat area

4)to make it all easier , download the water lines group diagram off the net .....let us know if you cant find it and I will send it to you

No, it was already too late. I trusted him and bought the jetski thinking that it only needed the impeller shaft to be replaced. But it actually needed a 1k worth repairings on the pump and engin by the dealer. But all in all, it was still worth to do the job since i got the jetski for only 800.

Ski must be in the water to test carbon seal.
