Hello guys, i'm new here, but been reading a lot and learning a whole lot about my seadoo, close to be an expert :))). Anyways so here's my story, had complete engine rebuild by PWCengine folks, thru the motor into the boat, took it to dealer to reset the TPS, bleed the Oil pump, allign the engine. i have put a new rectifier, new battery.

So while doing engine break-in i would not rev higher than 6000 rpms, after 6-8 hours i started reving up to 6200 rpms, after that i tried going full throtle, but notice that i would not go higher than 6250. Then i adjusted my raves, unscrewed until is flush and was able to rev it to 6500 in some cases to 6800, but noticed quite a bit of cavitation, so i figured then engine does not require much HP it was even able to rev all the way to 7200.

So i took my pump a part, replace the impeller, put SOLAS 15/20, put in a new ring and ready to go again. This weekend after little engine warm up (i always warm up engine) i noticed a huge difference in my performance, was able to plain right away and bottom end it's a beast, but was not able to pass 5900 RPMS, and going 52-55 MPH. what am i missing?

55 mph... and 5900 RPM's.

To start... one of your gauges is very wrong. A Di GTX only has a top speed of 55 mph... so if you are going that fast... your tach is wrong. OK... the impeller may get you a few MPH more... but something is up.

The speedo's are known to be wrong... so, your "55 mph"... is that the gauge, or a GPS?

Also... try screwing the adjusters on the RAVE's then entire way in. It may help you find more RPM's up top.

I would def. need to double check on GPS vs gauge, but isn't DI should be running close to 7000 RPMS?, i'm sure Rave adjustment has something to do with it, but not close to a 1000 or so. Fuel pressure? water regulator? any other ideas?>
