Hey guys back again lol pulled the engine on my second DI' decided to re-build it I have gone to serious schooling with these things bought them 3 summers ago,, and after all the headaches, seems I work on them more than I ride them, but if im one thing, im persistent, lmao, got the engine out and started the teardown, a couple little small issues other than corroded parts,
there are small check valves on the side of the engine cases, one of them is broken off and I need to replace it, anybody have any good tricks on removing them just got some really sad information, turns out both of my DI's were swamped when hurricane sandy ripped up the east coast,,both of them were swamped with saltwater and left setting for almost a year before I bought them,, they did a good cleanup on them up on them and brought them from the Wilmington coast to the charlotte nc area,,,i got really burned, but on the other hand,,i have gotten schooled on them,,,,being a greenhorn didn't help any what can you do but suck it up and fix them engine
