01 Chanllenger 2000 Gas gauge help

My 01 Challenger 2000 Gas gauge don't work. I checked all the connections and fuse and all checked out ok. Can I undo the clamps and pull it out and see if its stuck? If anybody can help I would appreciated so much. thanks
