Hey everyone! I'm new to the Sea Doo world and my wife and I are considering buying a jet boat. We have it narrowed down to two choices:

1. 2000 Challenger 15' with twin Rotax engines. Boat has been garage kept and only has 85 hours on the engines. $6000.00 OBO

2. 1997 Challenger 1800 with twin Rotax engines. New Carburetors and upholstery. Unknown hours. $6000.00 OBO

What are your thoughts?

Go with the more nimble 5 seater for you and wife only. With 2nd couple space is limited

or

The roomy 7 passenger boat. Enough space to take dog too :). Price is a little high though when compared to the 2000

I love my 1997 1800 Challenger, I wouldn't want to give up the 3 seats I have over the other boats. $6000 is a bit much for that boat though. If you could get it for $5000 it would be worth it.

Turns out the Challenger 1800 was too large for my garage so that ended that debate pretty quickly. Ended up going back and negotiating the 2000 Challenger down to $4,800. Feel like I got a great deal! What are your thoughts?

Looks to be in good condition in the pics. That price is about average, maybe a tad bit high. But as long as you are comfortable with it, thats all that matters. A little scrubbing on that floor and some new hydrotruf mats and that thing will look brand new.
