‘96 SPX Carb rebuild?

I have a 96 SPX that sat in my garage for too long.
I decided to check it out. Replaced the battery, Pulled out the air box and got it started fairly easily with carb cleaner. It sounded good. It started a few times over 3 days. But, no more. It cranks strongly, but doesn’t start. I was going to get the carbs rebuilt, new fuel lines and filter. Does this sound like it will get it going? Don’t want to put a ton of money into it.

Yes and never use carb cleaner or starting fluid in a 2 stroke.

I would also replace the fuel selector.
