    2018 Spark overheating

There may simply be something stuck in your impeller/wear ring. I've gotten driftwood caught in there that causes vibration and cavitation to a degree that not enough water was getting pumped into the engine cooling system.

Bought a 2011 Seadoo Speedster 150 at auction. Now what?

I agree with the above suggestions, but would also say take it slow and investigate the condition one thing at a time. I recently rescued a Spark from an auction and had to remove a broken spark plug from the #1 cylinder. You never know what you're going to get. Since you have no history, I...

    Seadoo Spark missing bolt

Hey Jack, Check out the banner for Sea-Doo parts at the top of the page. That's send you to Sea-Doo warehouse where you can search by Sea Doo PWC parts. You can select your Spark and then check out the slide under Pump-All Models. Looking at the parts diagram, you can find the part number by...

Break In a 2006 RXP Supercharged

I have a friend with a 2006 (I believe) RXP supercharged. It only has 20 hours on it and has been sitting in the garage for 6+ years covered and preserved. What should we be doing to make sure it's ready for the water? With only 20 hours, it's not even through it's break-in period...

    Speedster Ladder Strap

This is what I found using the sea-doo parts link above: 570027100 Looks like the same one I bought for my 97 Challenger 1800.

    1996 Speedster parting out

I have a 96 Speedster that I am parting out. Currently both engines and the MPEM are gone. Also, the port jet pump/impeller are gone. Just about everything else is there. Make an offer on any parts you'd like.

    Dual Battery Switch question

Thanks guys, It's nice to know I'm safe in switching. I'm always nervous about frying the MPEM.

    Dual Battery Switch question

So I just installed a second battery along with a Guest (2111A) battery selection switch. My boat did not come with a switch at all, so it's nice to be able to shut down power between trips and not worry about battery drain. My question is regarding the fragile MPEM and switching between the...

Test drive a 2001 Sportster today, what should I be checking? Concerned about water

One quick piece of advice about towing. Make sure the boat is (gently) all the way up against the front roller when taking it out of the water. The few times that my Challenger 1800 was not all the way forward on the trailer led to all sorts of rocking of the boat on the trailer and the...

    Scupper valve

I just replaced mine on my 97 Challenger 1800. I'd be very surprised if it's not the same bolt pattern. I got the Flow Max Scupper from Amazon for $16 with shipping. I've only had it in the water a half dozen times so far, but it works fine.

    Boating checklist

Hey guys, I've taken on a friend as a partner in my boat. (I know, I know, great way to ruin a friendship) I have written up an owner's checklist for each of us to follow when using the boat. I'd like some feedback on if I'm missing anything, or if anything is just downright wrong. It...

Broke oil pump bleed screw on Challenger 1800

bigJake, It's numbers 54 and 55 on that page. My bolt wasn't even a banjo bolt, just regular one with the long hex head. The bleed comes from slots in the threads of the bolt housing on both sides. So the bolt "seals" with the washer and head flush up against the pump. I don't know if a...

Broke oil pump bleed screw on Challenger 1800

Thanks guys, you were exactly right. I left it for a few days waiting for a new bleed screw and when I came back, the white sock I left under the oil pump was saturated with oil. bigJake, I did take the pump off of the stator housing and I would recommend that to get a good hold on it. It's...
