    2011 challenger 230 se SC

First time out for the year, my guess is your problem is one of your spark plugs. Replace them all every spring for hassle free days on the water.

    Cheap easy storage idea

Thanks for this! Just added them to my c180 today.

Sudden loss of RPM's on 2010 180 Challenger

Could be as simple as a plug going bad, mine did the same in first run last year. Typical early season blues. Changed plugs, all good. Or it could be as bad as supercharger failure, and you need to pull the motor to clean out the bottom end! Sc failure will also leave rpms at wot around 6k...

Thinking about going from a speedster 150 to 200

    180 is a 47-48mph boat. 215hp speedster 150 is a 55-57mph toy.

2007 180 Challenger suddenly is feeling like leaning to right

Does your wife normally ride in the copilot chair next to you, and now rode in the center back with granddaughter? If so, that's all it takes to throw off the balance.

Superchargers, ceramic disks, and disasters oh my!

Maybe we should talk about those problematic hollow, sodium filled exhaust valves in the 2005 motors then. Lol

Superchargers, ceramic disks, and disasters oh my!

There's a whole ton of real world data, not theory, from real users, not engineers, available on gh and this forum from the last 15 years which disagrees with your thoughts on sc bearing life. How you can dismiss that data and warnings and skip the whole rebuild kit over $50 savings when you're...

Superchargers, ceramic disks, and disasters oh my!

8-12 years seems like less than 14 to me.

Did you even google seadoo supercharger bearing failures? They are...common.

Superchargers, ceramic disks, and disasters oh my!

Yep, the bearing itself doesn't get brittle over time. But the phenolic cage holding the bearing certainly does...

Sounds like you're an expert already! Best of luck with your FIRST brp pwc!! Btw, you should post this on gh...see what they say;)

The 2 year rule for the bearings is not because they wear out from use. They dry out, then crack. Explode. Take out your motor just like the washers do. I don't follow the 2 year rule to a T personally. 4-5 years works out to 100-150 hrs for me and that is rebuild time in my book. But 14...
