2002 GTX DI Throttle Sweet Spot

All those codes are inactive or occurred. You can clear them and see if they come back. There doesn’t appear to be any active codes. As I said in post #3 drawing too much amperage can cause the electronics to go crazy and throw all different sort of codes. Also a bad rectifier will cause...

Need advice with winterizing GTX DI

Get a cheap submersible pump and place in a 5 gallon bucket with a couple gallons of RV antifreeze. Put a catch pan under ski to catch the antifreeze that comes out. Connect the hose to flushing port. Start ski then turn on pump. Run until antifreeze comes out the pee hole in back of ski. Turn...

    Welded injector holes

If I remember correctly Matt Braley prefers RFI cases for his performance engines as there is extra cooling capacity.

    02 GTXDI inline filter

I discard the canister filter and put a wix33095 filter in its place with two heavy duty stainless hose clamps. They are about 10 bucks. Easy to change. I change about every other year...

    DI Single Cylinder Idle?

Good question. I have heard both yes and no. I always thought that they did but it was random as to which cylinder it was, but I really don’t know. Thinking about doing some experimenting with one of my skis.

    HELP GTX DI limited RPM

I don’t know of anyone who has had luck with the cheap Chinese made rectifiers. Might try OSD parts. They carry a heavy duty 4tec rectifier with plugs made for DI skis.

    HELP GTX DI limited RPM

Sounds like your rectifier is being pushed past it’s limits at times probably because the fuel pump is demanding a lot of voltage. The reason your fuel pump is demanding so much voltage is most probably because the filters need changing, as well as, fuel pump cleaned. A candoo pro would most...

    New Member DI Question

I have owned 4 DI skis for several years now and love them. Bought every one of them with a blown engine. Rebuilt them myself. On every one of them the maintenance was neglected and cheap oil used. They sip gas, have instant starts and are fun to ride. As mentioned above they are not for...

2002 Sea-Doo GTX DI misfire / will not stay running

No maintenance light means it is probably fuel related. With that being said, I would pull the fuel pump clean it and replace the two small filters on the pump. Next I would replace the external fuel canister filter on the supply line. If that doesn’t take care of the problem, I would remove...

2002 GTX DI Throttle Sweet Spot

Low compression. Aftermarket fuel pump drawing too much amperage. Rectifier voltage is low most probably because of fuel pump drawing too much amperage.
