I need to replace some parts on my trailer. The trailer is for an 03' Sea Doo Speedster, all the bunk brackets are rotted out, the axle and hubs are all toast and the parts that support the fenders are all rotted too. I'm having a hard time finding a site with all these parts. Any recommendations?
Are you making sure you properly vent the engine bay for 5 minutes or so before trying to restart? From my experience this is critical for it to restart properly. I have the 03 Speedster as well and the only few times I had a no restart is when I didn't allow enough time venting before starting...
My last day on the water I was looking in the engine bay at my fuel tank to check the level because my gauge doesn't work and I happen to notice water coming out of a hole on the floor area. I do not recall the hole being there previously and I was a little alarmed to see water pouring out of it...
I purchased the sensor #889575 as a back up in case it starts to fail, the port side sensor is notorious for failing from what I've gathered. I noticed though that there are in fact 3 identical sensors, one on the port side, one on the starboard side and one in the air handler. They all look the...
I too have an 03 SeaDoo Speedster. The original cover started to crumble so I bought a universal one from bass pro shops and I am totally happy with it and it works fine with the suspension poles the boat comes with. I can't remember the exact price, I think it was less than $200. I would highly...
Mine has not worked since I got the boat. Did some research and a few forums posts later I was informed to purchase a gps speedometer from candoopro which I haven't gotten yet, been meaning to. In the meantime I've been using a speedometer app on my phone until I purchase the gps sensor I need...
I've only had my boat for one winter so far and I used marine stabil while it sat for several months. I am not aware of using additive for anything other than long term storage. This time around I'm going to put the marine stabil in on the last run of the season. Last year I didn't do that, I...
Hey Glenn thanks. Would you happen to have the link to the correct alternator? On the parts page it lists three different alternators for my boat. Version 1,2 and 3. I am not sure which one I need. I am searching eBay for an equivalent because the ones on the parts page are almost $600.
I had made a post about my issue with this a year ago and this was one of the responses i had received from a pro on here:
~~~More than likely it was stale air causing the issue. Boats have Bilge Fans for a very specific reason. It is to clear the potentially hazardous fumes prior to starting...
I have an 03 Speedster with the 240 EFI and mine doesn't like to start up immediately after a shut down. But I believe it to be from not venting the engine bay long enough for restarting it. I don't think it's anything else than that. The few times I've restarted it within a minute or two of...
I did a little more looking today. I installed a new belt, but prior to that I put a ratchet on the idler pulley and I compressed it in and out a few times, it seems sturdy. It doesn't wobble or feel loose at all. I took some fine grit sandpaper and went over the V grooves of the alternator...
The idler pulley does not look bad, the plastic seems to be in good condition. The grooves the belt sits in are fine, the condition of the bearing itself does not seem bad, it'll spin a few times around with the whirl from my hand. The alternator pulley on the other hand is showing some signs of...
