What is the easiest way to remove the hood on the XP Limited. I am needing to remove the motor but it would be so much easier with the hood out of the way or at least dropped down. Thoughts, ideas??

ya, I wouldn't sweat it, i've only pulled one out of a wishbone, but I used a neighbor to help me, threw a towel on the edge of the hull, lifted it out slowly and set it on the side since with the hood still attached it was a bit of a tighter squeeze than just standing on the footwells and lifting straight out like on a 96 xp...

so you might need a 2nd pair of hands to lift it out given the restriction.

If I my memory serves me correctly you'd be disconnecting several gauge connections with the weatherpack tool to get all the wires through the hole in the hull that feeds them to the gauges, then reconnecting after. I wouldn't want to do that unless I had to, its a bit of a pain to make sure all the wires go back in the correct holes.

note: I'm 90% sure you'd have to do that, not 100%, its been about 5 years since I messed with the wishbone so I can't remember if it has the larger hole for the gauge wires or not.

I had mine in and out lots of times repairing the hull and removed the hood. It was not fun with all the cables and wires. I would not recommend pulling the hood and even with it on you have plenty of room to get at it with an engine hoist of neighbor's forklift. I love having a neighbor with a forklift.
