New to owning a PWC. Took my 2001 GTX DI out last weekend and decided to top off the oil before I left. I added a quart of 2 cycle syn oil. After reading several posts here I think I made a mistake, I have since added what I believe is the correct oil TC (?). What I want to do is drain the tank and add the quick silver or sea doo full synthetic oil. My question is could I have damaged anything by using this oil? Is there a process to bleeding all the old oil out and bleeding the system when I put in the new oil?

You will need to know what PO was using before you added the TC oil.
But more than likely they were using TC.

Yep drain tank then refill.
Hold spring wide open on injection pump to bleed air through.
It may be said that different oil will cause it to gel when mixed.

Thanks ocod. I checked the tank level last night and it is about 1/2 full, would it cause a problem to run the oil down lower so I do not have to drain so much. Looks like space is limited and I have to remove the exh pipe to gain access.

Its on the other side underneath air box.
Don't beat on it just in case and try to run it through.

Be ready to remove and clean raves though

Thank you ocod. I am going to run the oil down a little and then drain it. I am familiar with cleaning the raves.
