will a 1989 sp 580 motor fit in a 1995 xp hull

title says it all. just picked up a 1995 xp and have a great running 1989 sp 580 motor (not the one i posted about with piston problems ) was just wondering if it would fit in the 95. scored a 95 sp and a polaris 650 tripple both for $150.00. the 95 hull is mint and i wanna use that instead of my other 89 hull. any input ? pros or cons ?

well i know this is an older post and was answered already but i have an added question for it. will all the electronics for the 1995 seadoo xp 717 work on the 1989 seadoo sp 580 or will i have to switch all the ones from the 580 into the 717 xp hull ?

You need the electronics for the engine being used.
