My 2001 RFI is only putting out 13.1 volts max, missing and running on 1 cylinder. I bought the rectifier last year for about $40, it fixed the battery lite but it been running awful since, guess I got what I paid for. I see prices that vary quite a bit, can some recommend a good place or brand to buy? Part number 278001554

Thanks

John

OSD is probably your best bet. They have a heavy duty rectifier for the RFI skis that is supposed to be way more reliable.

I needed one recently and was going to order the OSD upgraded model but they were temporarily back ordered. Ended up buying a used OEM unit on e-Bay for <$20. Crazy cheap and so far it seems to be working fine.

I believe Nick is expecting more of the rectifiers in the next few days. Shoot him a note on the site and he can tell you how long they’ll take to get. Westside Powersports is another good option, but the OEM rectifiers have a tendency to fail on these things too.
