With my engine now assembled I found the part reflected in the photo and I don't know what it is or where it gees.

Both my SD and Clymer's Manuals don't provide information and I can't find a similar part on my 92 GTX, so, the photo goes out to the boyz on the Forum for assistance.

And please, don't give me the same advice that my wife told me where to put it!

the part bolts on to the top right hand side of your mag housing cover, its to help hold your sparkplug wires in place, its missing the black plastic piece that the wires connect to.

that part is a bracket that bolts to the top of the mag cover, there is a black plastic part that slips into the finger on the bracket which holds the spark plug wires up off the engine. you don't really need it, but you probably have figured that out.

Thanks Boyz.

My 92 GTX did not have the bracket and today while I was hooking up all the parts on my 93 GTX after removing the engine to replace the crankshaft I found that bracket. It looked familiar, but I could not remember where I saw it when it was installed, so out of an abundance of caution, off went my question.

I was almost sure that the bracket was not essential, but, I wanted to make sure.

I found the plastic piece that goes on the finger, but the latch is broken.

I have more pressing issues tonight, bleed the oil and re-install the Jet Pump AND, the part I worry about, aligning the crankshaft with the engine. Oh $#!^
