Hey guys
I have a 2005 rxt 215 supercharged with 88 hours on it. It is in storage for the winter just wondering when I should do the supercharger over and what has to be done to do so and price usually? At the end of last year I started to notice once in a while when taking off from sitting still that it didnt have the power like the supercharger wasnt working then once get going it would kick in and take off so I was thinking it was supercharger or bad plugs. So im thinking before I take it out this summer I should maybe do over the supercharger.

What Sportster said is true. You have a three choices.
Buy the newer sturdier SC $799.
Send it out to be rebuilt $400+ link is somewhere here on this site.
Rebuild it yourself. Buy kit with tools.

I went ahead and bought the new one. It has a 200 hr rebuild time and is OEM.

Sportster,
Newer part number. The case is heavier duty. The upgraded shaft. Impellers look better. Forward next to the gear on the upper shaft case was a new oil port for more oil flow for the bearings. The clutch washer looked better than the rebuild kit's.
Looked like an over all upgrade.

there has got to be a better design then a bloody clutch washers on a super charger... and don't say turbo because no body has time for lag...

There are turbo kits available for these motors which have virtually no lag. They are however intended for serious or race use...making big power...requiring a whole new set of internals and ecu.

100 hours or every 2 years and ANYTHING older than 2009 if it hasn't been rebuilt yet. 08 and older have ceramic washers that MUST be replaced as they fail and destroy your engine. As noted above, if you rebuild it with the updates kit, you can go to 200 hours.
