I bought a jetski with a 717 engine but i'm not sure of the year. When I look up parts for it it asks the year and then has some numbers like GS 5865/5867. My engine number is M5102757 and it is a GS model. What should I be looking up? Thanks.

Please???

I looked at the jetski again and found the vin number as : ZZN03488B898.
When I go to look up parts it asks this:1998 Sea-Doo GS, 5626/5844.
What is the 5626/5844 and where would I find these nukbers to check whether mine is the same code. I do'nt want to order the wrong parts.

Vin?....

You have two numbers. One is the EIN (engine identification number) the other is the HIN (hull identification number).

What your looking for is on the back, lower right hand corner of the ski. The last two digits signify the year model.

When you go to our parts index, you'll use the selection for type (boat or ski), then you'll look at the year, then the model. As for the designation number, it shouldn't matter. That applies to models made in split year. Normally, it's only a designation, nothing to do with your component parts.

This number is on the back of the ski: ZZN03488B898. It's on the rear deck where you would step onto it if you were boarding from a jetty. is this the HIN and does it make sense. I still don't understand the other numbers though.5626/5844.
