Hi Again from New Zealand. I have finally bought a boat from the states and its on its way here now. Its a very tidy 2007 challenger 180 and I was hoping for some advice on things to check prior to getting into the fun. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers:cheers:

Congrats on boat charlie....if anything, bomb around the site/forum, i'm sure you'll find all the answers to what to look for/performance of that boat. Seems to be hot boat, i dig them, just cant/wont buy one..anyway, propulsion, speed, rpms..might wanna contact seller to see if they did the upgraded SC washer kit, if not, may wanna look into it.

Thanks- re the s/c washers. Was that a recall or just a recommendation?
Do they need to be swapped out and if not done is the motor likely to fail? I'm hoping its still got a lot of grunt as its supposed to have very few hours on it!

recommmendation

the skis' are more proned to blow out the ceramic washers than the boats are, but i wouldnt chance it. Riva from what I hear, make the best kit out there.

Thanks for that - I've sent off an email to the dealer to ask the one owner the boat had b4 me. I've found the RIVA site with the washers. Do you just get 2 machined steel washers for US$109.? Semms expensive steel (but cheaper than a motor I guess!)
