what is the top speed?

what is the top speed of a 2002 gtx di? 2000 rx carb? just trying to see if these are doing what they are suppose to.

You should get around 60 MPH on both of those machines. The RX is a little smaller and should have the edge on the GTX.

FYI, the onboard speedometers are inaccurate. They are just estimating speed and tend to be high. You would have to GPS your speed to get accurate numbers.

Yep, I think the best I saw was 62mph - if you are pulling 7000 rpm then you are getting the most out of the engine. If it's revving higher to the limiter on smooth water then check your wear ring.

Ok that sounds about right. Not quite hitting 7k but darn close, I know it's a little above 6950. What type of rpm should the gtx di hit?

I believe, from memory, that the limiter was at 7200 but the only time you will hit that will be bouncing off a wave. 6950 - 7050 is about the top end for the ski on flat water. You can try leaning down over the handlebars to get an extra 1mph
