Hey whats the main difference in these styles of props? Obviously one's more straight edge and ones swirly LOL. Do you get a little better hole shot with the swirly one?1000009077.jpg

Two completely different sized impellers with a wrong listing.
99' GTX is a 155mm and the 96" GTX is a 140mm.

typically the swirl impellers will load the engine a little more but it really depends on the pitch.

@mikidymac
The seller is pretty adamant it was off of 97 GTX and it says Sea-Doo stamped on it..... I wonder if it's maybe off of different model that had that style of impeller and was put on to his his GTX. Long story short I'm looking for a little better take off when pulling tubes....I've got a solas 16.5/23.5 which is deadly all around but cavitates a bit only when pulling a tube. I got a wiggle back and forth A LOT to get some bite when I got big people on the tube LOL.

And he only wants 40 bucks for it which why I was interested. What's my cheapest option for a little more bite when pulling tubes (besides finding skinny people)?

No, 1996 and 1997 used the same impeller.
From what I have seen with Seadoo only the 155mm pumps came with the swirl impellers but I could be wrong. It is also been damaged and someone just bent and ground the leading edge which isn't good for holeshot either.

Either way it isn't going to make much of a difference if you already have a Solas.

The reality is it is a jet pump and isn't going to get much better off the line pulling a tube as an impeller just doesn't have the grip of a prop.

If you only pull a tube with it then I would sent it to Impros to have it repitched for towing but you will get less top end and it is still going to slip and cavitate under heavy load.
