what grounds the electrical box on seadoos?

The box? Nothing... it's plastic.

Inside... there are multiple grounds. The main one is on the bolt of the regulator/rectifier.

AND... on that ski... I believe it's the black wire coming up from the stator. It's grounded on the stator plate.
 
so does the stator give the plate in the plastic box its ground?
the ground post on the plate in the plastic box has to get its ground from somewhere... and im pretty sure that i have a bad ground because i can run a lead from the plate in the plastic box to the - post on the battery and it will turn over
 
alright so when i do that
it starts cranking with just the lanyard on and pressing the start/stop button has no affect it, i take the new ground wire off it stops cranking and then i have to take the 5 amp fuse out and put it back in (it doesnt blow the fuse so its the same fuse) before i can put the ground wire back on and it will crank again
