hey, I was wondering if anyone new how seadoo gets more power from there 185 hp turbo to there 215 hp turbo? (03 - 05) do they use more boost in the turbo. do they change the stroke. do they have a different piston for more or less compression or a combo of things. thanks in advance

ic.....ecu....flywheel......sc...."185 has cast pistons, not forged, slightly lower comp ratio, same bore and stroke. They are Mahle pistons (same manufacturer that makes pistons for porsche i believe) so they aren't crap but not as strong as their forged brothers in the 215/255/260 models.
Camshaft in 185 is slightly different, probably to suit its intended 7600 rpm limit v's the higher rpm limit of the 215/255/260 motors
185 fuel reg psi is lower..."

no turbo....supercharger

The main difference is the 215 HP spins the supercharger faster, developing more boost. (the flywheel teeth and SC teeth are different between the 185 and 215 HP models)

This extra boost heats up the air coming into engine, so they added an intercooler in the intake manifold to cool the incoming boosted air.

The other changes (forged pistons, different cam, fuel PSI, top RPM limit) are all secondary, and were done to accommodate the extra HP.
