weeds in intake

Im a new to pwc I have a 1995 xp 720 , has been running great till yesterday sucked up some weeds in the intake , and noticed a sharp dop in power, I immediatly shut it down and pulled out of water and pulled some weeds out of intake not a lot though,Does it take much to slow it down? it does have a stainless impeller I was told that would help chop up weeds if you got into them. Have'nt had a chance to take it back out yet.

Sometimes just a little debris
