well i installed all of the above
with a solas 14--19 prop
and my total MPH-- Gain is ZERO
if i prop it i would get more but for
all the newbees no matter what you
install your not going to get 1 to 2 MPH
as advertised, UNLESS --the biggest bang for the buck
would be X-charger, 4" intake and prop
injectors and call it a day the big jump is right there
as PPG said the wedge plat makes a bigger
difference on the three seaters not so much on the 2s
I was told to put the X-charger with the intake and
a 15-21 or 15-22 and id be looking at 76 to 78 MPH
big jump from 69.2 mph 2 seaters are lighter

uhm...got a gps yet? re the wedge...yeah a T will see more improvement than a P...but you shoulda seen somethin. the bigger air intake shoulda netted you an easy 100rpm...however...adding a top loader grate woulda taken some of that back.

Curious here...what kinda rpms were you seeing before and after installing those mods? Do you have any of the other freebies done yet?

when i bought it on the speedo she did 70 @ 8100 RPMs
and before the mods I took my hand held GPS and 69.2 was it,
with all the above she still turns 8100@ 70 on the speedo and 69.2
on the GPS, she gets there a bit quicker now, I proved to my self
some of the bolt on stuff---some, is a bunch of crap,
horse power -tork- and prop is the key,
on a boat what do people do to go faster?
pull the motor and do whats necessary to up HP and then govern
HP and tork by prop pitch, the ICU will not let the motor do anything
more then 8100 now what i want to no for the icu to hold 8100,
is it droping cylinders randomly or timing retard, if its timing retard
theres more HP under 8100 so proping to hold 8000 may be better,
PPG said X-charge it, as much as a 15--22 prop, and 42LB injectors
and it will do 76 to 78 MPH, there was men chin that the 04 RXPs had
a hoter cam shaft that was sought after for the newer motors,
I will be doing the SC, injectors and prop and I will take all other
stuff off and let the fat lady sing and post the results,
also I filled the ride plate holes,
if it is timing retard it would not retard instantly @ 8100
it would start earlyer that earlyer point is the spot I need to no?
cheers

You're on the limiter. You were on or near it before you upped the intake. Add a bit to your oem prop and try it again. Personally, I'd add 2mm...and hope I could see 8k.

yes red2blue your right with that,
I wish I had access to multiple props,
kinda expensive at 220.00 a throw
HUMMM maybe a prop rental shop
would be nice!!!

If you're gonna get into modding your ski...take the hit and get a prop removal tool, then tweek your own. You'll be able to see where you're at almost as fast as you can do the work. Personally, I can remove my prop, tweek it and replace in less than an hr. If you had access to a work bench/vise at the lake or where ever...the way to go. Some have even welded the prop removal tool to a plate and bolted it to the side of their trailer...then they can do all the work at the ramp.

The oem props are a dime a dozen. Learning how to tweek an oem prop is the way to go. That way...when you do go down the 14/19-15/20-15-22 road...you'll be able to maximize your own with confidence and save yourself time and money by not having to send it away for a professional treatment after every single mod. Once you get where you want to go...if you ever do...heh....then you'll be able to send it to Dave at Solas for the final prettying up.

wish they had a you tube on tweeking
that would be helpful

well...not a utube vid...but.....some things are verbotten.

lemme see what i can come up with....

...so...adding a coupla mm would mean for you to tweek the trailing edge so that the blade's pitch is steeper by 2mm.

I do my measuring with the prop off the removal tool. just setting on the nose on the bench and measuring from the bench to the blade's tip. I even everthing out first...before counting any additional pich. i also use a sharpie to mark the blades...keeps me from forgetting which one I'm working on at the moment.

One last thing...do the bending with the wrench about an inch up from the trailing edge. Don't sweat a lil mark or two.

Hope this helps.
