Wear ring wall thickness

I bought a wear ring for my 2008 GTI 130 and I looked at the gap between the prop and the wear ring and it was over 1 mm. Much to wide a gap. Im wondering what the wall thickness of the wear ring should be. The wear ring I put in fit perfect except for the gap between it and the prop. I'm guessing 8 mm's thick is what it should be. Are my assumptions correct?

Hey Bob. 1mm, that's .039", and you're right; that's too much. I've never measured the wear ring thickness, but I have purchased counterfeit parts that didn't meet Sea-Doo specifications. Where did you get the wear ring from? The last one I purchased was a Sea-Doo part; it fit perfectly and clearances were perfect.

I got mine off eBay. I know big mistake but I've been seeing lots of people getting after market ones and there fine. I took the chance and it didn't work out for me.
