Wear Ring !!!!! Help !!

I have the new wear ring and fixing to install but the original one had (4) small screws holding it in. Do I need to use the screws on the new one that I install ?? Also on the orginal one there is some black plastic that is also chewed up that is located on the backside (in the middle) of the old wear ring. Do I just cut that out as well ?

Also do I need to let the "red loctite" cure for a set number of hours ? I wanted to go try it out today!!

The How to does not cover the 4 screws wear rings like my '02 XP has, while it does cover the screwless kind that my '98GTX has.

we need one that covers the 4 screw setup.

NO, you do not leave out the screws.

the newer design is them with a slightly larger pump. the ring should slide right in / out easy. the screws hold it in place. But you have to predrill (NOT all the way through).
