Weak stream at idle?

How strong of a water stream should I have out the vent (pee tube) at idle?

Currently at idle I have but a dribble but it does get much stronger under higher power settings. I was thinking it was better at idle, but can't recall.

Is this common? What should I see at idle in this regard? Idle RPM set at 1600 RPM in the water.

Wow, just found something that is sure to be a player. My inet and oulet houses (to the head) are reversed.

Besides the difference in intermediate pressure drop at the vent, I am sure not the intended temperature profile through this engine/pipe.

Depends on the idle speed, impeller, and pump condition.

It can be anywhere from a small stream, to a good squirt. The biggest thing is that it is spraying out when you rev it up.

One thing to watch for, is change. If you normally have a "Good squirt" at idle... and one day you find that it's just a trickle for no reason... make sure you do a good flush to push out any junk that may have gotten into your cooling system.

This is very important in places with a lot of grass, or weeds.
