Water under the engine overnight

Hello,

I left my RXP 215 2004 for 2 nights on the water. After 2 nights of no usage I noticed that there is quite a lot of water in the box under the engine. It was not raining, there were no waves.
Once I started the engine the water was pumped out immediately and there were no water inside.
Questions:
1. Is it a normal that the water is getting inside when the PWC is left on the water for some tme? If no, what can be the reason of the problem?
2. Is it safe to leave PWC on the water for like a month? I would not like to see my PWC under the water when I come to the port

Likely leaking at the carbon seal. If your stern (back) is facing the oncoming waves pull the reverse bucket down it will help. If you leave it in Forward waves will come in through the nozzle and apply pressure on the carbon seal and allow water in. Although I wouldn't recommend leaving a ski in overnight without an autobilge pump.
