Where is a good place to buy them? Are some brands better than others? With the kids we will probably be doing more tubing than skiing so I don't need the best just a good pair for occasional use.

Thanks

Double or slalom?

Of course, you can get decent skis just about anywhere that come as a set.

Academy and Bass Pro have decent stuff.

Also, Try overtons.com. They usually list the skis by brand, and then give a description of what skill level they are and for what sized person. Then when you nail down the skis you want, see if you can find them locally.

Did my wakeboard that way, and got if for similar price at Academy.

Thanks for the info. I checked out Academy(I love that store) the other day. They had 2 different manufacturers there. One was Obrien and I cant remember the name of the other one. The Obrien they had was made in China the other in the USA. I didn't get the Obrien because if I can get American made stuff I will. I had never heard of the other company, so I am going to do a little searching(make sure they are good) and probably go back and get them.
