I asked this question quite a while ago, but is there supposed to be an O ring on the feeder valve piece. At the time, someone said no and I have looked at several pics on line and none have the O ring. I pulled mine out today to check it since I am still chasing the sputtering problem I'm having at around 3800 to 4500 RPM. Lo and behold there is an O-ring on it. I purchased a used valve off tonka's bro way back then and it must have had one on it and I didn't catch that. Everything I've found and read that fits the description of the symptoms I'm having seem to point to the water regulator valve as the culprit. I've also read that some sputtering in this range is normal and there's no way to get rid of it completely. I'd just like to see if I can get it a bit better than it is. The groove the arrow points to had an O ring in it

Sorry, I guess I should have asked for verification. There should be NO O-ring on it, correct?

The picture is too small for me to see anything on my computer so I am not sure where you are seeing an O-ring.

Not sure what you are looking at but as you can see the spring clamp that was on the bottom of my valve was Gone... rusted away. Is this the area where you saw the O-ring??

It was on that piece that is still stuck in the housing on your first pic. Sorry the pic is so small

Is there is an o-ring in the lower groove on the diaphragm ?? I'd check the parts list if you are looking at that piece that is removable. I don't know if there was an o-ring on mine. I just went through the water control valves on both my GTXs. the picture is of the one that was leaking and I suspected the "other" slower ski of having problems. So the faster ski went faster and slower one is still slower. LOL Good LUck
