Water outlet restrictor.

On both my machines I use a quick disconnect fitting like this



Usually I leave the fittings in. But I'm wondering if the restriction this causes is detrimental in any way.
Noticed that the water exiting the back has much more pressure with this on.
So far I haven't blown any gaskets out. I wonder if the added restriction would be forcing more water into the expansion chamber and hurting performance.

Any thoughts.

My HX had one on it when I bought it. First thing I took off. I didn't want it to cause any overheat problems and cause restrictions.

Hmm, haven't noticed anything like that, still stays normal temp. What I did try today though was plugging a short hose on it so that I could get some hot water on demand in the foot wells

Well that could be one benefit.
