I sold the ski 2003 Gtx di. Came back next day they popped the nut out of rear for reverse cable flood hull. Got all the water out of engine and got it running . Here's the problem:It starts but wont rev up at all . Just keep hearing the bouging sound. Douse this sound like the magneto isn't functioning properly. If not what do yall think is the problem is. Trying to keep the buyer on the hook

I would open the electrical boxes and check for water also all electrical connections.
If the engine flooded with water and they tried to start it then they could have broken a reed also. RAVE solenoid hose could be full of water.

Follow the hoses from the rave valves to the solenoid, typically mounted on the side of the hull. Then the hose from the solenoid to the bottom of the engine that might have water in it. There is a check valve at the bottom of it so you will only be able to suck or blow one direction to check for water.

Now the *** wont do nothing. I've checked and recheck the connectors... idk ...I hate this ski nothing but junk
