Water in hull fouled plugs?

While riding our GTI(720) it started bogging bad after a about 30 mins so we stopped and when I pulled the seat off there was water up to the motor mounts and I noticed the small line on top of the exhaust manifold had popped off.
Anyway placed the hose back on with a zip tie and changed the plugs and it ran great after that.
Question?
The plugs only had a few hours on them does the water/ exhaust line have anything to do with the plugs fouling so quickly?

It's a two stroke, they will foul spark plugs. Replace them and if you have continual problems that is a sign you have an issue. As long as the plugs are burning light to medium brown your mixture is good. Good Luck !

I'd take the seats off, open the hood and let it all air dry thoroughly. Get all that moisture out of the engine compartment. Fogging the engine would be a good idea.

Yea I just fogged it
I’ll continue monitoring the plugs hopefully it had something to do with the hose coming off and it’s not another problem because I just finished the break in on this engine and was hoping for a fairly trouble free summer.

Break-In generally fouls spark plugs so we always bring extra. Don't worry about it, just continue the warm the engine up before riding it hard. Be gentle. I think that is a good practice no matter how old the engine is. Have fun !!

I would load test the battery, make sure it is up to proper volts, (12.6) before you test,,,,,I once went through a salad bowl of plugs that kept fouling,,,I went through EVERYTHING, carbs, ignition,,,EVERYTHING,,,.replaced the battery,,,never had the same issue again.,,,Also check that it is charging,,,13 pus volts.
