Water in Gas - Resolution Sought

Hi Guys,
Everybody has a Dumb Butt Day at some point, and mine was yesterday . Took a can of gas down to the slip for my 2008 Challenger 180 (6 hours now into break-in). After fueling, I jumped in the boat, attached the key, and checked my fuel level. Good to go at 3/4 tank level. Picked up my gas can and headed back to the house. Problem - forgot to put the gas cap back on. Second problem - it rained about a quarter of an inch last night.

I'm not positive, but, taking an educated guess, I believe she might have taken some water into the gas tank - how much would be anybody's guess, since the hole for the gas tank filler is relatively small and it wasn't a downpour, just showers for awhile. How many drops of rain could actually make it into that opening - on the slant - to make a problem for me, is a legitimate question. Haven't started her up since I wanted to poll you guys and/or ladies to see what would or should be the best approach to this issue.

Is there an additive I can put in the tank to disperse what water may be in the tank and allow the engine to burn it off? Or, is there another tact to take on this?

Looking for any and all suggestions for a quick and easy fix for this potential problem.

Thank you for the input, JT>

We've all paid our stupid tax. I wouldn't imagine that much at all go into it. but I would go get some water treatment additive at the parts store and put in. Auto zone advance any of those will carry it. Keep us updated.
