Picked up a steering column wire harness to replace my DESS post. I thought it would be easier and cleaner to replace the whole harness that included the buzzer, start button and the DESS post.
Now I know why they sell those three items separately. I could not get the connectors through the passage way of the steering column so I had to disassemble the connector anyhow. Turns out that is not that big of a deal anyhow.
So when I pout it all back together I noticed the start button was wrong. See below picture to compare the old to the new start buttons. The old one was rubber coated in red. The new one is black plastic.

So for a minute I thought maybe they came out with a new design and realized how much of a waste it is to protect it in rubber. All that waterproofing things is so silly, right? haha. But it doesn't even fit in the cavity on the handle bar. Then post on the switch is longer than the original so the start/stop button cover can't even be installed.
So after all I went though...I ended up having to replace just the start stop button on the brand new harness. After it was all done and fished its though the steering column, I noticed it says "Made in Mexico". No Bueno!
