I was just wondering if anyone could point me to where the VTS relay is on my 2000 xp. I am trying to fix the trim. The motor works fine and the fuse is not blown either.

Thanks

If you look at the black block behind the motor cover you will see wires coming from the potting compound. What you want is in the potting compound. You can buy the "Trim fix" google it, or Google DEI 451 VTS or buy a used working VTS module from a member on here. Minnetonka4me sell used parts here on the forum and will stand behind what he sells you.

Is there a way to eliminate the switch being the problem before I spend the money on a new module or trim fix unit?

Yes, with a meter you can ohm the switches out. There is a 3 pin connector which should be blue/white, black and green/white. Put the ground lead in the center black wire and put the red lead in either of the other wires. Press the up or down switch. If using a digital meter when you press the switch the meter should change from OL to 0.00, then swap the red lead to the other wire and press the other switch and the same should happen. You have just verified the switches. If you look at the plug you can unlatch the side clips and then hinge that cover open and back probe the connector thru the green seals. Or, just use a paper clip. About a 2 minute test to get done. Post back your results.

Thanks. I will post my results after I get done rebuilding my trailer so I can take it out of the water. For now the ski is going to stay on the lift.
