Hello everyone from Melbourne Australia,

I have a 2000 xp 951, and I put the VTS fully up, now it won't go down,
checked the fuse all good and the motor makes a clicking sound when you try to go down, but thats it, the boot and clamps on the external side look good.

any ideas?

most likely it's your module, but could be motor also. remove the black vts cover and unplug the two wires to the motor and put 12v across them(reverse pos and neg to go up or down). if the vts moves, it's your module. if it doesn't, it's your motor.

people will set the vts at a good position, then unplug, and not replace the module because they are expensive and live with no vts.

usually water gets into this area through boots that get old and crack, very hard to tell if they are bad unless you remove them but they should be changed every 2-3 years. it's not if it will leak but when will it crack and leak.

Trim YaY!

try removing the trim motor and hit the trim botton to see if it goes eather way if it does then it's the module if you find its the module then try tapping the box with a screw driver becuase there it a regulator inside that somtimes get stuck.
