Upgrading to K&Ns and Solas, what can I expect to gain?

I've decided to upgrade my 96 GTX to a Solas Concord 15/23 and changing out the stock flame arrester to a K&N, I'll also change the main jets from the 142.5 stock to 145. I'll adjust the pop-off if it seems necessary, and change out the pilot jets too if I need too. We'll see.


Anybody with some experience here wanna guess at what I can expect to gain out of this! Currently it tops out about 48-50 mph, with a well worn wear ring, I'm replacing that too while I'm down there, of course.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Not yet?

I still haven't put on the flame arrestor or changed jets. I did replace the wear ring and install a Solas, now I'm at about 52-53 mph, on a good day, plenty fast for me.
