Was previously running pistons that were 1mm over and the RAVEs were trimmed for those pistons. About to install re-sleeved cylinders & pistons that are standard bore. Will the trimmed blades work OK with the standard bore, or would I be better off getting new blades? Thanks!

I talked to an engine builder that doesn't seem all the concerned about minimum clearance on the raves. My personal experience is with a ski performing very well with 25% of the rave valves missing. I don't know how they got broken and the parts didn't end up in the engine. Personally I think 1mm clearance is a bit much but you're only looking at an extra .025" on the rave to piston. Might not matter at all. Easy enough to give it a try. No risk at least. With all that....I think you'll be OK. Ha ha... Good Luck !!

Trust me, from racing experience, run with the larger gap, I doubt you will be able to feel the difference.,,nothing worse than a rav catches a ring, and get your wallet out spend hours in the shop.
