Trim question

I have a 1995 seadoo xp. It has the trim but I don't think it works. When I push the button, should I hear the motor? My first outing on it I had a passenger and the bottom was very low unless I was going a decent speed. How can I tell if its bad and is there anyway to level it out manually and just not worry sbout fixing it?

Open the vts motor cover, remove the motor and test it by directly to a battery, reverse the wires will reverse the motor if its any good.

if you have it on the trailer, just use the switches first before you start taking everything apart. see if it goes up and down, if not then start trouble shooting.
