Looking for some help and advice on where to start with this engine.... pulled out of ski because all motor bolts were unscrewed from mount. Thinking it needs rebuilt and i can't get the pistons to move 20200313_140659.jpg20200313_140647.jpg

First remove the starter then PTO then the Flywheel. Next the cylinders and pistons then the intake, rotary valve then split the cases.

Also if the pistons won’t move there’s a good chance your going to need a rebuild crank not just a top end.

So removing the pto and fly wheel is it pretty much just unbolting them? I have the manual but half of it doesn't make any sense. I just don't want to take something off and make a mistake doing it. Thanks for the feedback!.. and I'm not sure if the rings are rusted to the cylinder or not... I'm gonna go oil it up now and try and break it loose

Once you take the cylinders off you will know if it’s the pistons or the crankshaft that’s seized then proceed from there.

The Magnito flywheel has a nut then you need a puller to remove it from the crank snout. The rear PTO flywheel is threaded to the crankshaft.

Okay I am going to go pull the cylinders will post pics soon. Gonna have to make some kind of tool to pull the mag flywheel

Rear piston is froze in the cylinder. Crank is not locked up indont think

Thanks for the help on this I appreciate it!.... now I really didn't want to get into the bottom end if it seems free... what are some things to look at and consider from this point. Thinking maybe new pistons and rings and maybe hone the cylinders

If it was mine I would at least replace the crank and rotary seals and inspect the crank bearings.

You can get a complete WSM gasket set with seals from PWC Muscle here on our site.
