Ski was running fine, no issues. Had the starter go out, couldn’t get it stabbed without removing the carbs so I did and got the new starter installed.
Took it to the lake and noticed it was hard to start but started. Then when when on the lake I tried to give it full throttle and it was having issues like starving for fuel and wouldn’t run full throttle, actually hard to get going.. Took the carbs off made sure everything was tight and looked right. I did find a small fuel leak on number 2 carb (rear) on the pumper. Replaced that and now it’s starts like it should.
While running it with the hose hooked up, i had a call so stopped the engine and tried to start it 4-5 minutes later, water was still on. When I tried to start it, it was water locked. Removed the plugs and did what you do in these cases.
Took it to the lake to see. Runs better but seems to be starving on the top end. Runs good for a few then bog down then back up again.
To those with more experience with seadoo, is this a head gasket issue? I rebuilt the carbs at the end of the summer last year due to a pumper was going bad. The kits were from the dealer and wasn’t an off brand, true oem.
Thoughts?

I see no one has responded, so...did you replace all the fuel lines when you did the carb rebuild? new fuel selector? oring in the strainer? settings on the HS needles do anything? I'd go back and go through all this again, recheck the carbs, pop off and so forth and see what happens. If it's staving for fuel, which is what it sounds like, I wouldn't keep riding it until you figure it out.

I don't think it's a head gasket issue.

Thanks! Yes all of that is good and I did replace the fuel lines last year.
I took the head off and found the problem, appears part of the piston broke off and is causing the problem.. Appears the part that broke off also imbedded itself into the top of the piston also. See pics.
